Fing is now fully working on Snow Leopard (Mac Os X 10.6.x). The new ping command has been dramatically improved to get high precision statistics and to support non-Ethernet devices on Win and Linux. So yes, you will be able to ping through USB modems as well.

Fing relies on Ethernet interfaces to scan efficiently your network and the services in it (although it may use additional techniques in a few cases). As the lingua franca of the communication among different devices, Ethernet and its adapters are making it much easier to manage a long list of different devices and technologies.

Fing is now fully supported on Windows 7, both on 32bit and 64bit platforms. Moreover the other key feature is the new ping command, which lets you perform ping on multiple hosts and generate detailed reports about ping statistics. Download it and try it out today!

 100,000 downloads

99,998... 99,999... and 100,000!  Exactly eight months after the first release, we reached the increadible goal of 100,000 certified downloads, not counting the external sites, mirrors, torrents and so on.

In those fantastic days, we want to celebrate the 100,000 downloads milestone, but we are also testing the new Fing release that will include the amazing 'ping' feature (with stunning performances and ease of use). Meanwhile, we are sill working hard for the GUI application.

Thanks everyone for your interest and kind support. We feel our work is appreciated, and we look forward to delivering the next big thing!
